MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN OF FRANKLIN COMMISSION ON AGING HELD AT THE SENIOR CENTER AT 12:30 P.M. ON TUESDAY, THE 13th DAY OF JULY, 2010 The Town of Franklin is an equal opportunity provider & employer.
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Thomas Shakun called the meeting to order at 12:46 p.m. PRESENT: Members Margaret Ayer, Susan Dagenais, Charles Grant, April Griffin and Lorraine Jencik.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: This item was tabled until the next meeting.
REPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL AGENT FOR THE ELDERLY: Mrs. Griffin reported on the summer work program provided by the Access Agency, and reported on assistance she had provided with taxes, social services, and energy programs. The flu clinic will be held in October.
REPORT OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Mrs. Griffin reported on programs and trips offered to seniors during the month of June, and upcoming activities for the months of June.
REPORT OF THE MEAL SITE MANAGER: Mrs. Dagenais reported that 51 meals were served during the month of June. The new fresh meal service began on June 22nd and is very popular.
REPORT ON THE ACCESS AGENCY HOUSING PROJECT: Mr. Shakun reported that excavation work had begun. OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: A) The senior citizen center’s food bank will be inventoried and items that have expired will be thrown out.
ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Grant made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mrs. Griffin seconded the motion. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 1:19 p.m.
