An entire day of extreme action sports Sunday, August 3rd

Uncasville, CT (April 27, 2008) — Mohegan Sun and promoter Peter Rogers have teamed up to present Action Sports World Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Tournaments and Professional Supershow on Sunday, August 3rd.

Tickets for the day-time Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Tournament are $20.00, general admission. Tickets for the night-time Professional Supershow are $40.00 and $25.00 and both are on sale now at the Mohegan Sun Box Office and through Ticketmaster. Mohegan Sun Arena will be transformed in to a battle ground when three separate boxing rings are set-up alongside multiple mat rings to host Action Sports World Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Tournaments and Professional Supershow on Sunday, August 3rd. Seven Different Amateur tournaments will take place between 9:00am and 4:00pm, including full contact Kickboxing, Thaiboxing, Submission Grappling, Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. Then beginning at 7:00pm, professionals take over in the Nightime Professional Supershow. Four professional international mixed martial arts teams, consisting of 3-5 fighters each, will battle in elimination format for the 2008 “Mohegan Sun International Team Cup.” All action is sanctioned by the USKBA Action Sports.
